The extreme variety of forms used for bicycle production has triggered the need for the cycle industry to use more varied methods, as the formatting of sheets used to produce for example boxes or battery holders.

MILC has a local facility using water jets and laser beams to cut flat elements which can then be folded, punched or stamped as required. In addition to cutting metal parts, water jets also work on plastic and wood.
